I've had several requests for our reasons for disciplining our children. Here are the five reasons-
1. Willful disobedience
2. Improper attitudes
3. Disrespect
4. Lying
5. Hurting others
Here are 8 items to consider when disciplining a child-
1. Child must understand why he/she is being disciplined
2. Must be administered A.S.A.P.
3. Must be done in private
4. Parent must have self-control
5. Parent must show love
6. Child should understand what forgiveness means
7. Child should be thankful after the discipline
8. Repeat the situation properly
